JAMES L. PRICE, ACTIVE
IN MASONIC ORDER, DIES 

James L. Price, prominent Lansing resident and an active member of Capital Lodge S. O., N. 66, F. & A. M., died suddenly on the morning of the Fourth. Heart disease was the cause of death.

Mr. Price was born in Muncie, Indiana, April 13, 1862. Taking up the confectionery business while in his youth, he became an expert, continuing in that trade until his death.

He moved from Muncie to Lansing, and soon became prominent in city affairs. He was a member of the governor's guard from 1888 to 1894. From 1892 to 1895 he was general manager of the Lansing Confectionery company.

In 1895 he moved to Denver, Col., and remained in that city for 13 years, moving back to Lansing in 1908. He has since lived in this city.

Mr. Price is survived by his widow, Mrs. Minnie P. Price, a son, Donald A. Price, and a daughter, Isadore M. Price and his mother, Mrs. Minerva Price, of Portland, Ore.

The funeral will be conducted by the Masonic lodge, at the Price home, 1107 North Washington ave., Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Burial will take place at Mt. Hope.

Members of the Capital Lodge will meet at the Masonic temple at 1:30 to attend the funeral.
