Ivins, Utah - Shilkeem "Boo" Feather Martineau, age 33, passed away October 26, 2010. Shilkeem was born June 17, 1977 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Carmen Martineau. He was raised by his loving single mother and aunts until his adult years when they welcomed his step-father Millard Clark into their family.

Shilkeem grew up in San Carlos, Arizona on the Apache Reservation. He loved to travel and has traveled to Australia and New Zealand, all across the United States to every state except Alaska and Hawaii, along with every province in Canada, from coast to coast, and traveled throughout Mexico and Central America.

He led a full life despite his disabilities. He made many friends throughout his travels, and didn’t have an enemy in the world.

Douglas Martineau

ST. GEORGE - Douglas LaVan Martineau, 68, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, in St. George, after a three-year battle with cancer. He was born JHan. 3, 1932, in Kanab, Utah, to Amon Douglas Martineau and Mavis Sorenson. He married Doris Dorene Kanosh on Dec. 8, 1954, in Manti, Utah. She died giving birth to their son, LaVan Jr., on Sept. 22, 1958, in Richfield, Utah. He later married Evalina Mae McFee on Nov. 4, 1962. She preceded him in death on May 23, 1996.

After his dad died in 1950, he was raised by Edrick Bushhead, a Paiute who lived at the Cedar City Indian Village. He grew up learning the language and culter and later married into the tribe. He served in the United States Air Force in the Korean War as an air traffic control operator.

LaVan was an author with several books under the publication of KC Publications, his best know work being The Rocks Begin to Speak and The Southern Paiutes. He has also done works on Indian sign language, Indian archery and his most recent book, still in the publishing process, is The Great Migrations and the Indian Prophecies.

He had many interests in life, his favorite being his love for the great outdoors, with travels to Europe from Israel to Denmark and from the Northwest territories to Central America and Belize, and everywhere else in between, learning as much as he could about the different cultures of the North American Indians.

Kathern Belliston, passed away in her sleep Sunday afternoon as a result of complications from cancer. There will be a memorial service in her honor at the Timpview Chapel located at 2900 N. 650 E. (Timpview Dr.), Provo at 3pm, Friday, Sept 30, 2011.

Kathern Belliston

Kathern was born in Payson, Utah, on November 11, 1943, to George Glendon Hill and Beth Curtis. Beth later divorced and married Laine Marion Hansen. Laine eventually adopted Kathern as his own.

On Sunday, September 25th, 2011, after a lengthy struggle with cancer, her spirit left its earthly confines and returned to her Father in Heaven. She had one daughter, Kimberly Rae Druce, who preceded her to the spirit world in June of 2003. She is survived by four younger siblings: John Allan Hansen, Timothy Edward Hansen, Marlaine Clark, and Barry Curtis Hansen. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Rashelle Anne Meguerditchian and Brittany Louise Wood, and two great-grandchildren, Alexis Rae and Zaven Meguerditchian.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011, at the Timpview LDS Chapel, located at 2900 N. 650 E. (Timpview Drive), Provo, Utah.

Martin Wood was the father of Harriett Wood Woolf. 

Harriett Wood Woolf married Absalom Woolf. Harriet Wood Woolf was the first wife of Absalom Woolf. His second wife was Lucy Ann Hembleton Woolf. After coming west with the pioneers, they were asked by Brigham Young to settle the Hyde Park, Cache County area. 

Martin Wood is the ancestor of Alice Marie Johnson McIntyre, the mother of Kathleen Ann McIntyre and Grandmother of Jordan Aaron Nicolaides. 

Martin Wood, father of Harriett Wood Woolf, was a member of the Seventeenth Quorum of Seventies. He was the first missionary to be called out of Milville, Cache County, Utah on a foreign mission. Because of ill health, he was transferred to the Eastern States Mission leaving England in April 1863. He never returned home, however, as he died in an accident while crossing the plains with a company of emigrants.
