IMPRESSICE SERVICE FOR
MRS. FERN ROBISON

An impressive funeral service for Fern Robison, wife of Wayne Robison, was held in the First Ward Church Friday, December 10, 1954, at 1 o'clock p.pm, with A. LaVoy Kimball, Counselor to Bishop Ashby Robison, conducting.

Those participating were as follows:

Prayer at the home - Lindon Robison

Prelude and Postlude music by Helen Robison.

Invocation - Parker Robison.

Piano and organ duet, "Oh, My Father" was played by Helen and LaRae Robison.

Rudger Ashby was the first speaker, and he was followed by Scott Speakman.

Carolyn Callister sang "Calvary", accompanied by Helen Robison.

President Preal George was the third speaker, and Mr. Kimball made the closing remarks.

Dan Speakman sang, "End of a Perfect Day".

Junior Robison offered the closing prayer and the grave was dedicated by Eugene Ashby.

With the exception of Mr. Kimball and Mr. George, all who participated in the service were close family members of Mrs. Robison, and the manner in which they presented the parts assigned to them revealed the great love which every one had for the departed. She had lived a life of service to her family and friends.

Mrs. Robison died at her home Sunday evening, Dec. 5, after an illness of about six weeks. She is survived by her husband; five sons: Ashby, Ray and Duane, all of Fillmore; Doyle of Cleveland, Ohio, and Richard, who is with the Army in Germany; two sisters, Mrs. Neva Speakman and Mrs. Alice Robison; one brother, Eugene Ashby, Fillmore; and nine grandchildren.

Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Robison came by train from Cleveland, Ohio to attend the services. Richard was not able to come home, but the other sons and families were here. Also traveling some distance for the service were a nephew, Vaughn Speakman, wife and children of Brownwood, Texas, Dan Speakman, a nephew, who came from Albuquerque, New Mexico; Scott Speakman, of Salt Lake Ciyt; Mrs. Evelyn Bailey, Los Angeles, Wayne's sister; Henry Steggel (brother-in-law to Wayne) Salt Lake; Rudger Ashby, a nephew, Helen Robison, Gay Mitchell and Carolyn Callister, all from BYU; Mr. and Mrs. Parker Robison, Salt Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Ray McBride, Tooele.

Both the chapel and the large room in the church were filled to capacity, including many from the neighboring towns, who were too numerous to mention.
